A great Pianist and a great Educator

Jim Rousey has been playing and teaching jazz piano, popular piano (standards and such), organ, and other keyboards in San Francisco for over twenty years.

His performing experience is varied from backing Joe Williams in an 18 piece band to playing organ for the San Francisco Giants — but his real love for a long time has been helping others learn how to play better.

Jim currently teaches around 40 students but still finds time to play in various venues around San Fransisco. He recently recorded a new album, ‘Simply Solo’ in which he brings his own unique sound to some all time classic standards

A remarkable series of Books and Pamphlets

Piano Masterclass would like to share with you playing ideas that Jim has used to successfully teach his students. Much of this material is seldom (if ever) addressed in commercial music books but it will really make a difference in your playing.

20 'Mini-Masterclass' Pamphlets (at just $10 each!)
Each Pamphlet contains a comprehensive analysis of one specific aspect of keyboard playing. Clearly presented in a format that uses many illustrations and progressive exercises, these 20 to 30 page pamphlets will move you rapidly from a basic to professional level of knowledge and skill in each subject.

6 Incredible Masterclass Books
Each of the books cover a region of importance in a keyboard players education. They include two books on harmony for players who use chord symbols, a book of licks which will quickly give you runs and fills for any playing situation, a Fake Book with dozens of standard traditional tunes, an excellent book on how to play boogie woogie and the blues, and many more.
