11. Whole Tone Scales & Augmented Chords.
Whole tone scales are easy to play and always sound slick and colorful.
This scale is used on dominant 7th chords (especially when they have an augmented 5th).
Because the scale is constructed of consistant whole tones, all sequencial patterns sound very musical.
This pamphlet teaches the two whole tone scales using any starting note and provides a comprehensive examination of common voicings.
A variety of useful licks and seqences are written out.
