The Six–note minor scale is one of the most valuable and versatile sources for runs and licks that you'll find!
The notes are easy to learn (and remember), it’s not hard to play, and sounds sophisticated and appropriate in any musical style.
The scale can be used on a minor, minor 7th or dominant 7th chord.
Learning and gaining facility with this scale will add enormously to your musical vocabulary.
Anytime you have an opening for a fill on a minor chord, the most interesting, and appropriate source you can draw from is the six–note minor scale.
